The Services are strictly for adults aged 18 or over (or the age of majority where you are, if higher). This Notice explains how we verify age. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.
1. Why we verify age
We verify age to keep minors off the Services, to comply with applicable age-verification laws (which apply in a growing number of U.S. states and other countries) and with our payment providers' requirements, and to protect Users.
2. How verification works
- Depending on your location and role, you may be asked to verify your age before accessing adult content, and Creators and anyone depicted in content undergo identity and age verification.
- We use third-party verification providers. Accepted methods may include government-ID checks, facial age estimation, or other reliable methods. A simple "I am 18" checkbox is not sufficient and is not relied upon where the law requires verified age assurance.
3. Data minimization and retention
- Where verification is performed by a third-party provider on a "no-retention" basis, the provider returns only an over-18 (pass/fail) result, and we do not retain your ID document for that check.
- Where we are required to keep age or identity records (for example for Creators and depicted persons under § 2257), we retain them only as long as the law requires and protect them as described in our Privacy Policy.
- Verification data is used only to verify age and identity, keep required records, and prevent fraud and child sexual abuse material; we do not sell it or use it for advertising.
4. Availability
Verification requirements and methods may vary by jurisdiction, and access may be restricted where we cannot lawfully verify age.
