DMCA / Copyright Policy

Para respects intellectual-property rights and responds to notices of alleged copyright infringement under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512) ("DMCA"). This Policy is part of the Para Terms of Service. Para's designated copyright agent is registered with the U.S. Copyright Office DMCA Designated Agent Directory (Reg. No. DMCA-1074860).

1. Reporting copyright infringement

If you believe content on the Services infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our Designated Agent (below) that includes all of the following (per § 512(c)(3)):

1. your physical or electronic signature;
2. identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed;
3. identification of the infringing material and its location on the Services (URL(s));
4. your contact information (name, address, phone, email);
5. a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and
6. a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on its behalf.

We may remove or disable access to the material on receipt of a valid notice, and will make reasonable efforts to notify the affected User.

3. Counter-notification

If your content was removed and you believe this was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the Designated Agent including: your signature; identification of the removed material and its prior location; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake or misidentification; your contact information; and your consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate U.S. federal court. We may restore the material in 10–14 business days unless the original complainant notifies us that they have filed suit.

4. Repeat infringers

It is our policy to terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the Accounts of Users who are repeat infringers.

5. Misuse

Submitting a materially false takedown or counter-notice may expose you to liability for damages under § 512(f). Notices and counter-notices may be shared with the other party and, where appropriate, with third parties such as the Lumen database.
